![]() I got RidewithGPS because I wanted a cycling guide compatible with Apple Watch. Because of their excellent customer service and the unique features of RidewithGPS I rate them five stars without hesitation. They then updated RidewithGPS to fix the bug. One of the company founders called me on a Saturday morning and helped get it working for me. I emailed tech support and they immediately responded. I was frustrated as it was the only time in over four years RidewithGPS didn’t work flawlessly. I recently had a problem with RidewithGPS where it wouldn’t go into navigation mode. Photos taken while logging a ride can be embedded into the route, which is a nice feature. Last year I upgraded to paid version so that my wife (and friends) can track my rides in real time so that she knows I’m safe, which is well worth the money for me. ![]() I used the free version for years and it met all of my needs. It logs my ride, shows me stats, gives me audible turn by turn directions, shows me the elevation profile and much more. It allows me to plan safe routes for my rides in advance and then use my smart phone to navigate the route on my bike. I have been using this app since 2015 and it has become my favorite cycling app and website. Support: Get help getting started by emailing the support team at. I am seriously thinking of having to change to another make of activity tracker - one that has GPS and also a sensible charging rate etc. But very many users have complained about such failings. I do wonder if this forum is read by Fitbit as when I have complained about matters such as the inability to delete steps (that occur when driving or washing up etc), fitbit say that they have passed this on to their IT people but nothing ever happens at all. The number of times I have gone away for a few days and forgotten the special cradle lead but always have a phone USB lead. As this is becoming more prevalent is this built-in obsolescence?Īnd as for the crazy charging lead? Why not use a standard USB phone cable to make life easy. ![]() And as for the GPS - When I have the phone (Samsung S7) within 1m of the fitbit seldom is a map available. But several times now when I press 'Bike' activity and I see the phone without a line through it, at the end of the ride such as today when I completed 17.5 miles it actually has recorded 0.2miles. I am becoming more and more discontented with my Fitbit. ![]()
